Android Prep
Prepare for Android interviews: Kotlin, coroutines, Jetpack Compose and app architecture.
About this course
Android interviews expect you to know Kotlin deeply, understand the lifecycle and threading model, and design apps that hold up across devices. Android Prep covers each of these with focused lessons and hands-on problems.
You'll go from Kotlin language features and coroutines through Jetpack Compose and the architecture components, then finish with Android coding problems and mobile system design case studies.
What you'll learn
- Explain Kotlin features such as sealed classes, inline functions and delegation
- Write structured concurrent code with coroutines, Flow and StateFlow
- Handle the activity and fragment lifecycle and configuration changes
- Build performant UIs with Jetpack Compose
- Structure apps with MVVM, clean architecture and Hilt
- Persist data with Room and sync it with a backend
- Profile and fix memory leaks, jank and slow startup
- Lead a mobile system design interview

Frequently asked questions
Is this Compose-only?
No. Compose is the focus for UI, but the course also covers the View system, since many interviews ask you to compare them or work with legacy code.
Do I need Android Studio?
Not for the course. Coding problems run in the browser workspace. Android Studio is useful for the optional practice projects.
Should I also take DSA Prep?
Yes, if your target companies include an algorithmic round.
How long does it take?
About 4 to 5 weeks at 5 hours a week.
