DSA Prep
Crack the coding round with pattern-first problem solving, not memorised answers.
About this course
DSA Prep is a structured path through the data structures and algorithms that show up in real coding interviews at product companies, from phone screens to on-site loops. Instead of grinding hundreds of unrelated problems, you learn the 15 or so patterns that interviewers keep reusing, then apply each one to a graded set of problems that go from easy warm-ups to hard follow-ups.
Every problem comes with a concept video that explains how to recognise the pattern, a code walkthrough in your interview language, and a written breakdown of time and space complexity. You practise in the in-browser workspace with the same constraints you'll face on interview day: a timer, hidden test cases and no autocomplete.
The course ends with timed mock rounds that mirror a 45-minute coding interview, so you can measure your speed and communication as well as correctness before the real thing.
What you'll learn
- Recognise which of 15 core patterns a new problem belongs to within the first few minutes
- Analyse and state the time and space complexity of any solution you write
- Implement hash maps, heaps, tries, union-find and graphs from scratch when asked
- Solve two-pointer, sliding-window and binary-search-on-answer problems with confidence
- Write clean recursive and iterative tree and graph traversals without off-by-one bugs
- Break dynamic programming problems into state, transition and base cases
- Talk through trade-offs out loud the way interviewers expect at mid and senior levels
- Finish a medium problem, including tests and edge cases, in under 25 minutes
- Handle follow-up questions that change constraints, such as streaming input or limited memory

Frequently asked questions
Which programming language should I use?
Use the language you're most fluent in. Every solution is available in Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript and Go, and the workspace runs all of them. Most candidates choose Python for brevity or Java/C++ if that's what they use at work.
How long does the course take to complete?
Most learners finish in 8 to 12 weeks at 6 to 8 hours a week. If you have an interview coming up sooner, follow the 3-week crash plan in the first section, which prioritises the highest-frequency patterns.
I haven't touched algorithms since university. Is this too advanced?
No. The first two sections rebuild the fundamentals from scratch: how arrays and hash maps work in memory, Big O, and recursion. Every pattern starts with easy problems before moving to medium and hard.
How is this different from grinding problems on my own?
Problems are grouped by pattern and ordered so each one builds on the last. You learn to recognise why a technique applies, so you can solve problems you've never seen. Random grinding tends to build memory of specific answers instead.
Are the problems similar to what companies actually ask?
Yes. The problem set is curated from patterns reported in recent interviews at large tech companies and high-growth startups, and it's refreshed every quarter.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Complete every section and pass the final timed assessment to earn a shareable certificate of completion.
Can I watch some lessons before buying?
Yes. Lessons marked Preview in the course index are free to watch, including the full Big O and two-pointer introductions.
