Behavioral Prep
Turn your real experience into clear, memorable stories that match the level you're aiming for.
About this course
Behavioral interviews often decide offers and levelling, yet most engineers prepare for them the night before. Behavioral Prep gives you a system: learn how interviewers score your answers, build a bank of 10 to 12 stories from your own work, and practise telling them so they land in two to three minutes.
You'll work through every major question theme: ownership, conflict, failure, ambiguity, influence and leadership. Each comes with annotated example answers at mid-level, senior and staff, so you can see exactly what changes as the bar rises. Company-specific sections cover the formats used by Amazon, Google, Meta and high-growth startups.
Practice prompts let you record your answers in the browser and review them against the same rubric interviewers use, so you can find weak spots before your interview does.

Frequently asked questions
I'm an engineer, not a storyteller. Will this help?
Yes, that's who the course is built for. Strong behavioral answers come from structure and preparation, not charisma. The story-bank builder walks you through turning your project history into answers step by step.
How many stories do I need?
Usually 10 to 12 well-prepared stories are enough. Most questions map onto a handful of themes, and the course shows you how to adapt one story to several questions.
Does this cover Amazon's Leadership Principles?
Yes. A dedicated section maps each Leadership Principle to common questions and shows how bar raisers probe for depth.
Can I practise out loud?
Yes. Practice prompts let you record answers in the browser and replay them alongside the scoring rubric. Recordings stay private to your account.
I'm switching from an individual contributor role to management. Is this relevant?
The core sections apply to any role. The leadership section covers people-management questions, but a dedicated engineering manager track is not included yet.
How long does it take?
About 3 to 4 weeks at 3 to 4 hours a week, most of it spent building and rehearsing your own stories.
